The truth of the matter is there has never been any “good old days”, and we can never go back. The white supremacist/nationalist/alt-right (whatever you want to call the Nazis) have always been a part of this nation since it’s inception. It’s called the American experiment for a reason. The history of this country is written in blood. Yet we progress. We are all progressives, because you can’t stop progress. Repressiveness is not an option. Time marches on and change happens. That’s the blessing and curse of time. Continue reading The President of Fear
What would a year end blog post be with out a moving tribute to the people we lost… Well a lot of people died this year. And although I kinda loathe the fact that we cry over celebrity deaths when people who are kind and good die without recognition every single day. There has been one celebrity death this year that has moved the entire Monkee Kingdom; Continue reading 22.214.171.124.0
I see all the news is filled with these #Occupiers, people standing up and crying out against the socio-economic injustices that have always existed in this country and the world. I would love to be in the middle of it all. I would love to raise my fist and help topple the corrupt empire that I have railed against since I was a teenager. Yet, I feel like it is all in vain. I have been a part of many protest actions in my time. I was at A16 in Washington DC (despite being on Federal Probation in North Carolina at the time); I was tear-gassed and chased by cops. Running along-side a drunken Uncle Sam who said he was also on Federal Probation in Virginia and not supposed to leave the state either. I was in New York in 2002 protesting against the Iraq War when the police came through on horseback hitting anything that moved with black jacks; I dove on top of a teenage girl I had never met before to shield her from the officer’s baton. I took several cracks to my back that actually felt good because my back is shit after spending eight months in a federal prison for thinking I was an anarchist terrorist when I was 19. Believe me if anyone should be out there crowing about the end of this bullshit society it should be me. Continue reading #Occupydeeznuts; Let’s play Master and Servant
I started off talking about politics and moved on to comic books! Guess which one is more important to me right now? Continue reading Borders is closing, the Democrats are all about Reagan, and Superman’s Emo!
The only thing he’s done is make it where insurance rates in 2014 will come back down to roughly where they were at when the bill was signed! He made it slightly easier for people with pre-existing conditions to get coverage at some point in the future yet to be determined! Are you mad because he closed Gitmo? Because he didn’t! Thanks to Republican assholes crying not in my back yard! Even though there are prisoners in American prisons who have done a hell of lot worse than being Muslim in the wrong place at the wrong time, which half the people still left in Gitmo are guilty of! Do you hate Obama because he ended the two wars we are in! He didn’t do that either, in fact he ramped up Bush’s anti-terrorist policies and carried the banner of bullshit into Libya! He has continued the practice of rendition and just kept a guy on boat for two months without charging him with anything! Is it because he hasn’t been friendly enough to Big Business? He’s kept the stupid Bush Tax cuts in place which has worked so well for the economy! You mad that he bailed out the auto industry? Those are real jobs he saved, real average workers, at least he didn’t bail out Wall Street like old Bush did-oh wait-he did that too! Continue reading Fuck Obama (yeah right)
After last nights blatantly illegal move by the Wisconsin Republicans, we are left with one question-Where is Prince in all of this? Continue reading We’re all Slaves Now!
