Vegas Journal; night one It was an eventful day to say the least. I woke up at home in Atlanta, … Continue reading Some yet untitled nonsense i got into this one time…
Is this the end of humanity? Are we truly at a breaking point in our maturity? Things seem so hectic and fast paced now. The world seems to be rushing towards the brink of destruction. Yet I feel like this is just a phase. Growing Pains! This is what evolution looks like. From the rise of White Nationalism in America (that has truly always been there) to the resistance against globalization (which is ultimate inevitable), the world is changing. Power is being displaced. Women and those who have been previously labeled as minorities are rising up and claiming their piece of the proverbial pie. Continue reading 40 Seasons and counting! PT.1
The truth of the matter is there has never been any “good old days”, and we can never go back. The white supremacist/nationalist/alt-right (whatever you want to call the Nazis) have always been a part of this nation since it’s inception. It’s called the American experiment for a reason. The history of this country is written in blood. Yet we progress. We are all progressives, because you can’t stop progress. Repressiveness is not an option. Time marches on and change happens. That’s the blessing and curse of time. Continue reading The President of Fear
Since the beginning of the rise of Puroresu many Western wrestlers came to compete against their Japanese counterparts. A few brought the styles they learned in the East back home. A few Japanese stars made their way West and inspired even more westerners to travel to Japan. In the mid-nineties, a small group of young journeymen wrestlers began to make a name for themselves in the larger American promotions. Wrestlers such as Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit began to incorporate bits and pieces of Japanese Strong Style into their work stateside in companies such as WCW and ECW. Continue reading The Introduction of Japanese Strong Style
I went into this movie not a huge Dr.Strange fan. I like most people my age or older enjoyed the late sixties/seventies Steve Ditko era. Although I read them in the 90s twenty years after they came out. I was never a fan of any other writers take on the character. They always made him too powerful or not powerful enough, the scope of his abilities was limited by many writers understanding of the occult or mysticism which isn’t a thing. All knowledge is arcane even science. Continue reading My Dr. Strange Review
It’s been two years since my last blog post. It’s been over a year since I had a laptop. It’s been longer than that since I felt I had anything to say. Before I get into the usual movie reviews, dissecting the current state of pro-wrestling, or discussing this nightmare election season we find ourselves in here in America; I’d like to give a recap of these last few years. Continue reading The Secret Order of Things
I have been trying to write something for a very long time. It‘s been nearly a year since I was blogging regularly. This is no one’s fault but my own. I had the time and the means, but I felt I had nothing to say. I had things I wanted to say, I tried to write them down both on paper and on the keyboard. I have notebooks filled with notes and have started essay’s on whatever was happening in the news at the time. None of it feels like it means anything. The internet has become so filled with people voicing their opinion about everything that it felt pointless to add to the cacophony. This past year for me has been so filled with varied emotions and realizations that I could not possibly try to recap them all. With each passing day that I remained silent to the world at large, the more what I felt a few months ago seemed irrelevant. Continue reading For my homie!
